MANAGEMENT RESTRUCTURING AT IEPS (Nig.) LTD

This is to inform the general public and the global immigration community that our Managing Director, Engr. Sunday A. Ayankogbe has passed away.

As a result of this unfortunate incident, an interim board of directors and interim management is being reconstituted for IEPS in order to ensure that the current operations for the processing of customer’s visa applications are not disrupted. Our customers remain our greatest focus at this time to ensure that the processing of waivers, issuance of visas, delivery of medical status updates and other company processes continue uninterrupted.

We would like to re-iterate to the general public that at no time should any of our customers pay cash directly to any individual or employee purportedly acting on behalf of IEPS, for any reason - Our current process and the standard IEPS practice remains as published on our website that IEPS customers should deposit their payments directly into the company’s Guaranty Trust Bank (GTB) account. However, we’re in the process of designating a temporary IEPS subsidiary account because IEPS bankers have currently put a hold on all IEPS company accounts as a result of the MD’s passing away - we would temporarily use this IEPS subsidiary account to receive ongoing customer payments until we are able to regain access to IEPS company accounts at the respective banks.

In addition, we have appointed auditors and accountants to help audit the company accounts since the passing of the MD to ensure that all company assets are accounted for. We kindly request that all of our customers should ensure that they have proof of payments, valid receipts and deposit slips from the bank as we will begin a comprehensive verification process for the next 2 to 3 months.

A detailed timetable of when customer’s file verification will start and their current immigration statuses with the Canadian authorities (and other countries) will be published within that time frame.  Please be advised that we will deal with every individual customer’s immigration case and as such it may take sometime to get to each of you - however, we will ensure that we expedite this process as much as is humanly possible.

We have also retained the services of legal counsel in order to advise us on the quickest way for IEPS to unfreeze its company accounts with banks and other financial institutions in order to consolidate and access such company accounts so we can continue our immigration operations and processing with the Canadian government and other foreign authorities in the relevant jurisdictions.

We would also like to inform our customers that we have received updates from the Canadian embassy for many of our customers as recently as late October 2009 and in the last two months and we will be publishing those status updates to those who are affected. Please stay tuned for specific updates to your email addresses that you provided to us on file.

We remain committed to ensuring that we complete every customer’s application that is already in process at IEPS and we ask our customers for continued patience and co-operation at this difficult and challenging time for the company.
